A California woman who cannot pee on the bed of her husband is now able to pee on his.
Her husband had been diagnosed with HIV, and she told him she would not be able to bear the pain of childbirth, and it would make her unable to cope with childbirth.
She said she did not have a toilet paper roll in the house, and that it was only recently that she was able to get it.
Her husband, who is in his 70s, said he felt uncomfortable, and eventually started having pain in his pelvic area.
He told her he was in a wheelchair and had difficulty breathing.
She called the California Department of Public Health, and the state said she should be able now to pee in the bathroom.
She went to the hospital and received a routine ultrasound.
Her doctor said the ultrasound did not show any signs of infection, and her husband did not need to go to the emergency room.
The woman has been discharged from the hospital.ABC News’ Jennifer Ahern contributed to this report.
